Glad to hear that West Coast Mayor, Phil Vickers, enjoyed his recent operations and underground mine tour of MMG Rosebery.
The Mayor writes in today’s Advocate:
"It has been quite some time since I had been on site and I was amazed.
"What a well-oiled machine.
"Employees at every level were displaying pride in their work, which was also amazing.
"Those that spend their time stifling and trying to stop mining would do well to request a visit to the Rosebery Mine.
"It will be important for council to consult widely with the industry and community in developing a 10-year strategic plan given current mine life is projected to be 10 years, the prospect of new mine development, and the hope other sites in our region will reopen."
